Ulinzi Stars FC head coach Bernard Mwalala has called for calm as he believes that his team will turn things around after losing their opening two matches of the season to AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks. The Soldiers suffered a 2-0 defeat in the hands of Ingwe on the opening match of the season before going down 2-3 to Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday and remain pointless in a season that many had backed them to be among the title contenders.##NAJAVA_MECA_6853972##One of the areas that had proved problematic for Mwalala’s side is the backline, a department that has been rock solid for many years for the side. Most of the goals let in this campaign have been soft. The tactician is however not worried, at least not yet, and has called for calm. He says it is too early in the season to ring alarm bells.“It is too early in the season and there is no cause for alarm, we will turn everything around in the coming games,” he said.He says the fact that his team got two goals in the second game shows there are improvements from week one with the defence line now the only headache.“We have made mistakes in our opening two games but there are also improvements because in the first game we did not score but in the second game we got two goals. The goals we have let in are cheap, we have rewarded our opponents with easy goals. We have to work on our defensive shape and also on the lapses, we have to remain focused from the first to the last minute, ” he added.FULLTIMEK.sharks 3-2 Ulinzi Stars#kefootball pic.twitter.com/tzXQO6ehS8— Kefootball_ (@Kefootball1) November 27, 2022 He further urged everyone at the club to rally behind the team.“I call everyone at the club to rally behind the team. The management, the fans, and each and everyone should be behind the team and I believe it is just a matter of time before we turn things around. I have full confidence in my squad, I know what needs to change and we are going to work on it to ensure that the team returns to winning ways,” he added.Next for the Soldiers is a home match against Posta Rangers on Saturday afternoon at the Lang’ata Sports Complex.Turkish tactician Firat likely to return as Harambee Stars coach
