Clinical Tusker whip AFC Leopards to maintain perfect league start

Tusker FC continued with their perfect start to their new season after overcoming AFC Leopards 1-0 in a charged FKF Premier League match played on Sunday at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.The Brewers scored their only goal of the game from the spot. Three minutes later Lawrence Luvanda was denied by Levis Opiyo and moments later Patrick Matasi cleared a Jaffari Owiti’s shot off the line. Luvanda had another shot from a quickly taken freekick in the 37th minute but Opiyo easily gathered it.Olaniyi missed arguably the easiest chance of the first half two minutes from the break. Maxwell Otieno raced down the right flank before crossing the ball into the area, Charles Momanyi deflected the ball into the striker’s path put with only the keeper to beat, he shot wide. The first half ended barren.Tusker switched the gears in the second half and went all out. David Majak, Jackson Macharia, Shami Kibwana and Eric Mmata were introduced for Deogratius Ojok, Eric Zakayo, Saphan Oyugi and Lawrence Luvanda.Against the run of play, Tusker won a penalty in the 67th when Mmata was hacked down in the area.
