Kenyan international Corazone Aquino failed to convert a penalty as Simba Queens suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa (JKT) Queens in the Tanzanian Women’s Premier League. The victory momentarily took JKT to the summit of the league after their first win of the season with a number of teams set to play on Wednesday. The reigning league champions were handed a route back into the tie when the referee pointed to the spot but Aquino could not hold her nerve as she missed the penalty 10 minutes from time.
