Former French international defender William Gallas says that Tottenham Hotspur’s problems at right-back can be solved with the addition of Inter’s Dutch star man Denzel Dumfries. The former Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea star also told Antonio Conte not to go for Juventus’ American midfielder Weston McKennie.Weston McKennie and Denzel Dumfries (©AFP)Spurs struggled to find an attacking right wing-back with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty both out of form, while recent signing Djed Spence is yet to start a game. Inter Meanwhile, Dumfries scored and provided two assists against the USA in the World Cup last 16, and Gallas believes he would fit in well at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.”I don’t know why Spurs can’t fix their problems at right-wing back. I’ve watched Denzel Dumfries in the last few Netherlands games, and I believe he is one that Tottenham need. Dumfries is powerful, he can defend, he can attack, can get a lot of assists. Spurs are struggling with the left-side of the defence too, Daniel Levy will need to sign a top class player.”William Gallas wore Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea colours—in Gallas’ eyes, Chelsea are 👑 in London. pic.twitter.com/EgwQdnWwrA— B/R Football (@brfootball) April 1, 2017 Conte is rumoured to want McKennie in his midfield, but the 45-year-old Gallas says there are better options.”Spurs shouldn’t sign Weston McKennie. They have to go to the next level. Daniel Levy has done everything right lately by building the stadium and getting them into the top four but now they need players who are top-level players. McKennie isn’t a top-level player.”##NAJAVA_MECA_6877797##Gallas also spoke ahead of the big World Cup quarter-final match between France and the country he spent the majority of his professional career – England. And he’s feeling very confident.”No one scares me in this England team. I’m not scared about one player, but Declan Rice is England’s squad, and no one is really speaking about him, but he’s unbelievable. He does the same thing with West Ham and I don’t know why he’s still there. I’ve not seen a midfielder like him for a long time – he’s strong, powerful and technically unbelievable.”
