Nzoia ready for KCB showdown

Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu says his team is ready for Sunday’s duel against KCB at the Moi Kasarani Stadium and believes that his team has a genuine chance of emerging victorious against the Bankers. The Millers, who got their first win of the season a week ago against Sofapaka head to Nairobi in search of a second one. The Bankers on the other hand will be looking to build on last weekend’s triumph over Bandari FC in Mombasa.##NAJAVA_MECA_6878263##Ahead of the match, Babu says that they have prepared well for the duel and is confident that they can get maximum points out of the game if they give their best on the pitch. “We have prepared well for the game, the boys are in high spirits and looking forward to the game. KCB are a decent team, they have players of good quality and it is definitely going to be a tough match, it is one that we must give more than 100% to get a result and I always expect this group of players to give their best,” he said. The tactician also expects an entertaining match against KCB, a side that he says plays good football like his team.“I expect a good game because just like us, KCB play football, they keep the ball on the ground. This will be a good contest, an enjoyable one for the fans who will be at the stadium,” he added.@nzoiasugarfc2 take on @KCBFootball this Sunday at Kasarani stadium.#sweeteningkenyanfootball.@Nzoiasugar @Officialfkfpl @ElvisMukhwana @dickxion_genius pic.twitter.com/kzzxK46NnO— NZOIASUGARFC (@nzoiasugarfc2) December 8, 2022 The millers have scored just one goal in three league matches but the coach is not bothered by his misfiring strikers.”I am not worried because I believe that it is just a matter of time before they start to score goals. They (the strikers) are working hard and are creating chances and what remains is putting that ball into the back of the net. It is something that will come with more finishing practice and as you know all our strikers do not have Premier League experience, they are players who have joined us from the National Super League and the Division One League and so we have to be patient with them, keep sharpening them, and eventually the goals will come,” he added.Baraza urges league body to secure multiple partners in bid to regain past glory
