Wazito FC will face FKF Division Two side, Ayucha FC at the Muhoroni Stadium on Saturday afternoon as part of their preparations awaiting a way forward regarding their participation in the FKF Premier League. The now Kisumu-based club are yet to feature in a league match this season as the case at the Sports Tribunal challenging the nullification of last season’s leagues by FKF NEC directly affects them. They are a well-organized side and I believe that they will give us a good match as well as we continue to prepare for the new season,” he said. The tactician however admits that not participating in the league as other teams get their groove is a big disadvantage for his team.“It is definitely a disadvantage because we are lagging behind in terms of match fitness, we find ourselves in a difficult situation but we will have to maneuver around it and hope that we start the season strongly. It will be challenging but we are going to give our best. The players are eager to play, they are motivated and we are ready,” he added. The coach further revealed that there is a chance that they could play their first game of the season against FC Talanta on Wednesday; the match was initially set to be played on match day two.“There is a communication from the federation that we could play Talanta on Wednesday but of course, there will be further clarification from them. Hopefully, we get to play our first game next week,” he added. Can Bidco United end Tusker’s unbeaten run in the FKFPL?
