Final Ahead of the Sunday showdown, Catalans Head Coach Cliton Liyosi has urged fans to turn up in large numbers to witness what he says will be an entertaining match. “All these players have grown up together and know each other very well. We therefore expect a very tough match but we are going out there to entertain our fans – they shouldn’t expect anything else,” he said,“We are not in the final by fluke. From the onset our target was to win the tournament and we have worked to be there. We will finish the job by winning the trophy on Sunday,” he added. Liyosi also thanked the organisers, South B AllStars, and sponsors Mozzart Bet who have pumped in Ksh 1.5 million into the tournament.“The tournament is usually very important for the South B community as it is an avenue for the youth to meet and watch the matches as they interact. This keeps them away from drugs, crime and other societal ills. It is also a good avenue for the young players to market themselves to the scouts that throng the venue,” he said. ##NAJAVA_MECA_6886040##Garang Maingi, Kawasaki’s manager also expects a tough and entertaining duel. “Kawasaki fans will be entertained, no debate about that. Catalans is a tough team but we are ready for the battle. Our target is to win the tournament and we are prepared for the battle,” “This time we came to the tournament very well prepared unlike last edition. My rallying call is to the fans once again to turn out in large numbers to support both teams. These are young talented boys from our community and they deserve all the support.” He said. Garang further highlighted the tournament’s impact in the community. “The best thing that has happened as a result of this tournament is the mushrooming of small community teams in our neighborhood. This means more youth are playing football daily and therefore staying away from drugs, alcohol and crime while building their future.” The winner will get Ksh 100,000 and a trophy while the runners up will bag Ksh 50,000. The final match will be played at the iconic Police Band ground and is scheduled to start at 1PM EAT on Sunday 18th December.
