He takes up the slot in the team that was in custody of defensive midfielder Ronney Kola who had been used as a central defender in the past matches. Masawa who doubles up as the team captain on the other hand was rested against Rangers and Talanta. He replaces Herit Mungai who did not travel with the rest.
