Nzoia’s Juma hoping to be ready for Bidco clash

Nzoia Sugar FC assistant captain Kevin Juma is hoping to be back on time for their next eager assignment against Bidco United in Thika on 4th January 2023.Juma was forced off in the first half on Thursday after he picked an injury against Mathare United at the Utalii Grounds. Seasoned midfielder Harun Thomas took his place as the millers picked a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Boniface Munyendo and Joseph Mwangi, Douglas Koech Kibet got the consolation strike for the Slum Boys.##NAJAVA_MECA_6906075##When he went off, the millers’ technical bench looked worried and feared for the worst. The player has now downplayed the magnitude of the injury saying he had to go off after feeling some slight pain in his knee in the opening stages of the duel. He is however hoping that he will be ready for their next league match against United in 12 days’ time“I felt pain in my knee in the opening minutes of the game and I hoped that it was something small that would go away as the game continued unfortunately it persisted and I had to go off. Right now I cannot say much about how long I will be out but I hope I recover in time for our next league match against Bidco United, I want to help the team and I hope I will be ready for our next assignment,” he said.Wednesday’s win moved the millers to the second position in the log with 13 points, two behind leaders Tusker FC who have a game in hand, and Juma, who in recent months has been linked with a move away from Sudi hopes they can keep on getting the good results.“It is important that we get wins at this stage of the season, we are playing well and getting results and that is what is important for us. We are second in the table at the moment and hopefully, we can keep up with the same tempo until the end of the season, it will be difficult but with this group of players anything is possible,” he added. Why Kakamega Homeboyz resorted to deploying makeshift defensive midfileder’s
