Kakamega Homeboyz FC coach John Baraza notes that his team has to improve in terms of cohesiveness heading into the new year with the league set to resume on 4th of January 2023.Baraza was tasked with guiding the Kakamega Homeboyz a fortnight before the new season started. He replaced Bernard Mwalala who led the team to a second-place finish last season. In the six matches that the coach has been in charge of the club, he has managed three wins, two draws, and suffered one defeat in the hands of league leaders Tusker FC who have so far won all their league matches.##NAJAVA_MECA_6905681##Baraza is happy with the way his team is playing but believes that there is room for improvement as he believes that the playing unit has a bigger potential.“So far I can say I am happy with the way we are progressing, and I hope that in the coming game we will be somewhere playing much better than we are doing at the moment. We are not playing badly but I know that we can do better,” the former Harambee Stars striker told Mozzart Sport.FKF League Mid Week Results Wazito 0 Bidco United 0Talanta 0 Ulinzi Stars 3AFC Leopards 0 Kakamega Homeboyz 0Gor Mahia 1 Bandari 0Sofapaka 1 Kenya Police 1City Stars 1 Kariobangi Sharks 1Posta Rangers 2 Vihiga Bullets 1KCB 1 Tusker 2Mathare United 1 Nzoia Sugar 2— Kabumbu254 (@kabumbu254) December 23, 2022 Pressed on areas that he wants his players to get better in, the former Sofapaka FC head coach pointed at general cohesiveness. He believes that his team is yet to gel well and it is an area that they will be working on before their next league assignment in just under a fortnight.“I want the players to understand each other, the team has not gelled yet and that cohesion is missing. Most of them are new to each other and I just want to work on team cohesion and if we get that right I think we will be good to go,” he stated.Homeboyz will host Kariobangi Sharks at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on 4th January.Oruchum collects clean sheet with Namungo in Tanzania
