Kakamega Homeboyz coach John Baraza has challenged midfielder Eli Asieche to step up saying he is yet to see his best since he joined the club a week before the start of the 2022/23 FKF Premier League campaign. The central midfielder joined the Kakamega-based side after parting ways with Wazito. The change of ownership that resulted in Wazito relocating to Kisumu resulted in a mass walkout from the club and Asieche is one of the players that opted out and signed for last season’s FKF Premier League runners-up.##NAJAVA_MECA_6906313##The former Sofapaka, KCB, and Kariobangi Sharks man has started in all of Homeboyz’s matches this season and although he is yet to find the back of the net, he has put in a good shift with his industry in the middle of the park standing out.His coach however wants more. Baraza and the midfielder played together at Sofapaka and later the former coached him and he understands what the experienced midfielder can offer.“Eli is a creative player, he is a good player but so far the performance is not where I expect it to be. He is a scorer and a creator of goals but so far he has not done all that. And I want to see him performing at that level,” Baraza said.Played two friendly matches today.Homeboyz 2-1 AP Bomet Homeboyz 3-1 Nyota FC#AbanaBeingo pic.twitter.com/35GMh0LuZ8— Kakamega Homeboyz FC (@FcHomeboyz) September 3, 2022 Baraza believes that the player will be better once he settles in and understands the demands of his new club.“I know and understand him, and with time I am confident that he will understand the needs of his new team and I think he will be okay,” he continued.Next for Homeboyz and Asieche is a home match against Kariobangi Sharks on the 4th of January 2023.Muguna, Nyatini post mixed results in Tanzania
