Family announces tragic death of former Harambee Stars and Tusker defender

The local football scene has been thrown into mourning following the demise of former Harambee Stars defender Mark Odhiambo on Tuesday morning, Mozzart Sport can confirm.Odhiambo, a retired footballer who had ventured into the transport business after hanging his boots had been hospitalized for the past few days after falling ill on Wednesday last week.The demise of the defender was confirmed by his younger brother, George Omondi, who turns out for Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Ulinzi Stars.”It is true Mark is no more, he rested today at around 11 in the morning. He fell sick last week on Wednesday while at work and he was rushed to Karen Hospital where numerous tests were carried out and revealed a clot. We then transferred him to Coptic where he has been in the ICU since then with doctors doing their best but unfortunately we lost him today,” Omondi told Mozzart Sport.Former KCB, Nairobi Stima, Coast Stima, Tusker FC and Wazito FC defender, Mark Odhiambo has sadly passed on.Mark had retired from football and was into transport business.
