Uganda’s preparations for the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) that will be played in Algeria from 13th January 2023 are back on track after the government released funds that will support the team in their preparations.A fortnight ago, FUFA president Hashim Magogo threatened to withdraw the team from the biannual competition accusing the Ministry of Finance of not releasing funds that would cater to the team’s preparations. Like for the U23, we are left with no further option but to withdraw the Uganda Cranes from CHAN finals because Ministry of Finance has not provided the funds as appropriated by parliament.
