We were creating chances but didn’t have the required confidence and precision to put the ball in the net. The break was important as the players had the moment to reflect on the performance and it is reassuring that everyone in the team agreed to step up,” he said. With Simba wa Nairobi set to tackle former champions AFC Leopards on Wednesday at the Kasarani Stadium, Wanjala is calling for maximum utilization of the chances that will come their way.Bandari hard man Dennis Magige set to return in two weeks’ timeThe former Nzoia Sugar defender noted that wastefulness in front of the goal had cost the team points in the past rounds and repeating the same mistake will dent the confidence in the team.“We can’t afford to start the year with nothing short of a win. We are anticipating for a tough match as Leopards’ playing style is similar to ours but the good thing is they are beatable. We have to take our chances and defend as a unit if we are to secure maximum points,” he observed.
