Mathare United picked their first point of the season as they held Posta Rangers to a one-all draw in a catch up match played at Kasarani Annex on Wednesday afternoon.The Mailmen came into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat, while Mathare had lost 4-0 and both sides sought to bounce back from the losses.Cavin Odongo scored for Posta Rangers with Chris Owino rescuing a point for Mathare with a well taken shot.The mail men opened the scoring with just six minutes left to play in the first half. Brian Marita made a good dash on the right side of attack with his cross causing a melee in the six yard box that Cavin Odongo capitalized on to give his side the lead.Before the goal, Odongo had another attempt three minutes earlier but Brian Olang’o stretched fully then to deny him.Mathare went level shortly past the hour mark through Chris Owino. The midfield got hold of the ball on the left side of the attack, took two touches to set himself up, the thindered home past Brandon Obiero in the 65th minute to make it 1-1.##NAJAVA_MECA_6937485##The goal was enough motivation factor for the Slum Boys who made a couple of forays going forward.Patrick Otieno had the chance to restore Posta’s lead, or even set up his teammate for it but his final shot cum through pass was feeble and went on into the hands of the goalkeeper.Augustine Kuta could have made it 2-0 with seven minutes left on the clock in regular time from a freekick but his well taken setpiece was tipped off for a corner.The final five minutes were intense as noth teams believed they could get the winner, and they both sought for it.
