The controversy surrounding the alleged sexual exploitation and FKF Women Premier League side, Trans Nzoia Falcons FC took a fresh twist on Friday when Football Kenya Federation (FKF) revealed that it has referred the matter to FIFA for further probe ad action.The Kitale-based team has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons in the past one week. It all started with the club officials kicking out players out of their residential camp after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Vihiga United at home on Saturday 7th January.##NAJAVA_MECA_6945082##A video of the players being kicked out of their residential house, a house many observed was not good enough to host players draw sharp criticism across the country, and in a bid to save face, the officials quickly urged the players to go back to their residential houses while promising to handle the matter after further deliberations.On Monday a meeting between the players, federation officials, and government administration lifted a lid on alleged sexual exploitation with a number of officials dragged into the matter. The players made the confession before FKF’s Women Representative in the National Executive Committee (NEC), Margaret Omondi with the club’s official Facebook page airing the whole facade. Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya later met the players and promised to look into their welfare.FKF has now confirmed that it has received an official complaint from some of the players and the matter has been forwarded to FIFA for further investigation.“Football Kenya Federation has formally received allegations of sexual harassment from a section of FKF Women’s Premier League side, Trans Nzoia Falcons against officials at the club,” read a statement from the federation in part.“The federation has referred the matter to FIFA for investigation and summoned the concerned individuals to record statements to aid in the investigation of the case,”.The federation has also canceled the team’s next two league matches and the club is tentatively expected to resume action on 25th January.“In view of the above, the club’s next two WPL fixtures have been postponed with the team tentatively expected to return to action on January 25, 2023.
