Sofapaka boss challenges forwards to take scoring responsibility ahead of K’Ogalo tie

Sofapaka head coach David Ouma has called upon his attackers to take more responsibility especially with their decision making in the final third as the team gears up for a Wednesday midweek clash against record Kenyan league champions Gor Mahia at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.Ouma made the remarks on the back of the team losing their five-match unbeaten streak as they succumbed to a disappointing 1-2 defeat against a struggling Nairobi City Stars side who had not won in any of their eight opening games since the 2022/2023 campaign started (D2 L6).🔜Form ya kesho ndio hii hapa🆚 @OfficialGMFC😎Paka apana tambua sirkal bandia , hawa lazima watatii kesho, wapokee vidonge ngapi?📍Join us tomorrow at Moi Kasarani Stadium in our tenth match of the season@OyandoRonny#BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/dEDpYjoE8u— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) January 17, 2023 And as Batoto ba Mungu seek to stop an in-form K’Ogalo who have only lost once this season (5W 1D 1L), the tactician has challenged his side to take their chances in a game which he predicted will see minimal chances.“I want my players to take advantage of how we develop our game. The only challenge we faced (against City Stars) was composure in the box and finishing which is a player’s responsibility. That is what I want them to do against Gor in a game which will have minimal moments,” he said.##NAJAVA_MECA_6954529##“We know they are a good team and they have the momentum right now as they sit in fourth place on the log meaning they are doing something right. We are also doing something good with a relatively young team which makes me not to panic as we prepare for the match. What they have to do is to develop the game, enjoy it and above all they have to show composure in the penalty box,” he emphasized. As things stand, K’Ogalo are six points ahead of ninth placed Sofapaka who sit on 10 points having played two more matches than the Johnathan McKinstry coached side. The match will kick off at 1500EAT.
