Arsenal have completed the signing of Brighton’s 28-year-old forward Leandro Trossard for a fee of around $33.4 million. Of that fee, around $25 million is guaranteed, while the rest will be paid depending on certain performance conditions.London calling! 📞 Excited to join @Arsenal, here we go! 💪 pic.twitter.com/hKNyGsv2wQ— Leandro Trossard (@LTrossard) January 20, 2023 Trossard had no choice but to change clubs after a major falling out with Brighton’s head coach Roberto De Zerbi. The Belgian was made to train separately from the rest of the team, and the club from the south coast of England was actively looking to sell him. But, with all that being said, Trossard is not a victim here. On the contrary! He joined the bigger club, fighting for the Premier League title – and will double his salary to around $110,000 per week. So, there is no reason for anyone to feel sorry for Leandro! The end of a chapter. Thank you Seagulls for the wonderful years! 💙 pic.twitter.com/Vp15ahsvXO— Leandro Trossard (@LTrossard) January 20, 2023 Manager Mikel Arteta welcomed the signing which should bolster the Gunners’ chances of remaining top of the Premier League standings until the end of the season.”It is good work from everyone at the club to complete the signing of Leandro. He is a versatile player with high technical ability, intelligence and a great deal of experience in the Premier League and at the international level. Leandro strengthens our squad as we head into the second part of the season, and we’re all looking forward to working with him. We welcome Leandro and his family to Arsenal.”##NAJAVA_MECA_6962760##Trossard was axed from the squad that beat Liverpool 3-0 last Saturday and continued to be exiled from the first team this week. He had also attracted attention from Tottenham, but Brighton rejected Spurs’ approach. Now he moved to North London – albeit to a different address..The winger was a member of the Belgium squad at the recent World Cup 2022 in Qatar and has made 24 appearances for his country.
