Women Premier League (WPL) side Bunyore Starlets are eyeing Gaspo Women’s scalp when the two sides clash in one of four matches set for Sunday 22 January.The Daniel Arunga-coached side has had a spectacular start to their season, losing one in five matches in a shock 2-1 defeat to Kisumu All Starlets going by their run. Ulinzi working to dislodge Vihiga from WPL helmHaving picked wins against Ulinzi Starlets and Thika Queens as well as draws against Wadadia and defending champions champions Vihiga Queen, Arunga says they are eyeing maximum points against Gaspo to move up the WPL log. “We had good preparations before the season started and we are now in a good place. We are, however, looking to pick more wins to move up the log. As we welcome Gaspo, we are well aware they remain unbeaten in the season and they are a good side so we will tread carefully,” offered Arunga. Nyamunyamu concerned about Vihiga’s striking force despite WPL dominanceThe tactician says the improvement in the team is largely because they had more than five months of preparations before the season begun. “We had enough time with the squad thatbplaydd last season and also made a few additions to add to our squad depth and experience,” Arunga added. Meanwhile, Gaspo’s Edward Githua says Gaspo are looking to continue their unbeaten run as they play Bunyore. “We have prepared well and are keen to keep our winning streak. Alm the players are in good shape,” he said. In their last season’s meetings, Gaspo were the superior side winning 2-1 at home and 1-0 away, but Bunyore have vowed to upset the form book.
