He wants to leave Roma for a “top club”, but he only has one offer – from Bournemouth

It’s time to eat a big slice of the proverbial humble pie and re-assess one’s options. Roma’s want-away winger Nicolo Zaniolo was allegedly close to joining Juventus last year, is on the radar of AC Milan this month – but the 23-year-old only has one offer, and that is from Premier League strugglers Bournemouth. The Cherries’ representatives were in Rome this week to finalise the loan signing of Giallorossi’s left-back Matias Vina for a fee of $500,000 (it could rise to $750,000 if certain conditions are met). While that piece of business went down smoothly, considering Vina hasn’t played much for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, the English club has made another offer – presumably to save on travelling costs.##NAJAVA_MECA_6971738##Roma received an offer of $30 million plus 10% of the next sale for Italian international Zaniolo, the player who has been making noises about wanting to leave the capital. And even though the Roman club would gladly accept such a fee, the player himself isn’t impressed by the prospect of taking part in a Premier League relegation fight. Besides, Zaniolo still has hope that AC Milan or Juventus would come in for him and provide him with a “top club” adventure. However, the time is ticking out in the transfer window, and no Italian club seems capable to offer $30 million for any player these days. Perhaps Zaniolo should lower his standards and accept that he’s not viewed as a top player around Europe.BREAKING; Bournemouth have offered €30M + 10% of a future sale to Roma for ZanioloRoma are happy with the offer and unless Milan can raise theirs, Roma are ready to accept it and leave the decision to Zaniolo📰 Di Marzio pic.twitter.com/qnQn0bgs1f— Italian Football TV (@IFTVofficial) January 26, 2023 The Italy international has played 11 times for his country, scoring twice. Joining from Inter in 2018, Zaniolo has gone on to feature 128 times for Roma, netting 24 goals and providing 18 assists. He scored the only goal as Mourinho’s side beat Feyenoord to win the Europa Conference League final last season.
