JACKSON, N.J. — Fore!
Golf, golf and more golf has come to Adventure Crossing USA, the $800 million sports and entertainment complex rising. The center’s 100,000-square-foot dome, Adventure Golf & Entertainment, has opened to the public.
“This is letting everybody know that, hey, all that we’ve been talking about is really happening,” said developer Vito Cardinale, founder and president of Cardinale Enterprises. “This is an exciting moment. It’s taken eight years to get to this day.”
Adventure Crossing USA is Cardinale’s signature project, a goal to create a “premier destination for all sports” with fields, entertainment, hotels and restaurants next to Six Flags Great Adventure. It is designed to attract youth sports teams, and other sports participants, from around the Northeast for an extended stay.
The entertainment options will give family members something to do while others are playing sports in other parts of the park.

Cardinale has pledged to use his profits from Adventure Crossing to fund a research center on the property to find a cure for multiple sclerosis. His wife, Linda E. Cardinale, died from the disease in 2013.
“People know it’s all part of the strategy to kill MS,” Cardinale said. “This is what it’s all about, right?”
Inside the dome, Adventure Golf & Entertainment features a Toptracer indoor driving range with 42 bays, Topgolf Swing Suites, axe throwing and a virtual reality arcade where participants can drive a race car or fly a fighter jet or helicopter. There’s also a 150-seat bar that serves the Topgolf Suites menu, Cardinale said.
“You can play any course in the world,” Cardinale said of the Topgolf technology. If you want to go to Augusta, you type in Augusta and it takes you to that course.”

Still coming to Adventure Golf & Entertainment is Brunswick bowling, a Formula One go-cart track with electric cars, laser tag, climbing wall, a 400-seat sports bar, a private cigar and scotch room, and a men’s barber and nail salon.
In the front of Adventure Crossing, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken and Taco Bell have opened. 7-Eleven unveiled its 2.0 prototype store with fuel stations last summer, a unique location featuring 7-Eleven’s latest products and services.
Another retail building is under construction. Panda Express, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Cinnabon, and Carvel Ice Cream will be ready to open in about 90 days, Cardinale said.
That center also will have an inside/outside bar and a total of about 100 outdoor seats.
