Mozzart Bet renews Ksh20M sponsorship deal with Kakamega Homeboyz

Kakamega Homeboyz received a Ksh20,000,000 sponsorship boon from leading betting firm Mozzart Bet on Thursday 26 January with the deal subject to an annual renewal and a massive title winning bonus. With the new contract, the partnership between Homeboyz and Mozzart Bet is now entering its third year after the first deal was signed back in December 2020.Why AFC Leopards’ request to reschedule the Mashemeji Derby was declinedThe new deal will also see the Kakamega-based side bag a huge lump sum of Ksh5,000,000 for winning the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) title.Homeboyz came close to clinching the title last season, losing it on goal difference to eventual champions Tusker FC albeit the league being annulled later by FKF.Cleophas Shimanyula, the club’s chairman could not hide his delight after inking the new sponsorship deal with Mozzart Bet as he admitted the money will go a long way in assisting the club.”I first of all thank Mozzart Bet for renewing the sponsorship deal, they have really supported us even during the Covid-19 times and we are very happy to see the sponsorship return to the club. Our players will now be able to get salaries and allowances.##NAJAVA_MECA_6971197##The money will come in handy to cater for our expenses and also having a sponsor makes it easier for you to sign a player because they are assured of getting their salaries,” said Shimanyula. On his part Mozzart Bet Country Manager Saša Krneta was equally elated to sign a third deal with Homeboyz which he has confidence will lift the level of football in the Kakamega region.”We are happy because we are continuing the sponsorship with one of the best clubs in Kenya, we hope that this is the year they can finally win the title. This will also go a long way in helping the people of Kakamega because they have a true passion for sports. When we started three years ago, we saw they were the best candidates because it’s a community club and gets many fans during their games. We are also willing to sponsor other football clubs just as we have done with other sports such as volleyball. We agreed to renew because everyone knows Mozzart Bet in Kakamega because of the club, and we hope that this sponsorship will help football in the region grow,” said Sasa. The Chairman admitted that the title winning bonus will be a huge motivational factor for his team to land their maiden league crown as they currently trail log leaders Tusker FC by six points.##NAJAVA_MECA_6971287##The deal is currently the longest running contract between a top flight team and a betting firm with Shimanyula revealing why the partnership has lasted and also shared advice to teams and corporate.“This is because we have transparency in the club, you will never hear our players striking because of payments or giving out a walk over, this is the discipline we have. Bandari set to unleash financial mighty in mid-season transfer windowI would advise clubs to invest the sponsorship money fully on the club, the money is not to be used for other interests and they should always be ready to give an audit whenever needed or the payroll to sponsors because most of them walk away whenever they sense things are not adding up.I encourage other corporate and betting companies to sponsor Kenyan clubs because they are really suffering due to finances, you find that some of them don’t even eat before games,” added Shimanyula.
