Chesang eyes WPL’s golden boot in first full season with Wadadia

Wadadia FC’s goal-poacher Jackline Chesang has set her ambitions for her first full season in the Women Premier League (WPL) high with intentions of fighting for the golden boot.The youngster joined the Mumias-based team last season after completing her studies at Wiyeta Secondary and managed to score five goals in the second leg.Wasteful Ulinzi bow to Wadadia in WPLShe has, however, set a target of doubling her tally in the 2022/23 league, an ambitious, yet achievable, undertaking seeing as she grabbed her second goal of the season in the team’s 1-0 win against Ulinzi Starlets on the weekend.“I know the league is very competitive and we have players that have scored many more goals than I have but I am targeting ten goals or more this season as that will be a big boost to both the team and my targets of fighting for the golden boot,” she offered after the side’s match against the military side at Ulinzi Complex.Wadadia have played for three wins in seven matches and are tied on ten points with Ulinzi. Scoring my second goal against a team as experienced as Ulinzi has motivated me to keep dreaming about the top prize.
