A sharp division has emerged within Fortune Sacco FC hierarchy over the fate of the team after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) moved to relegate them to the third tier.Last week, FKF wrote to the club informing them that they have been suspended from the National Super League and that from next season they will feature in the third tier, this is after the team failed to honour three consecutive three matches.The Kirinyaga based side had been promoted to the top tier alongside APS Bomet by the FKF Transition Committee that was in charge of football in the country last year. They were handed hope when the Sports Disputes Tribunal ruled that FKF NEC, that had initially been disbanded had no powers to relegate them.FKF however moved to constitutional Court and obtained orders staying the Tribunal’s ruling and continued to run the league. We are no longer interested. The excitement of qualification is no longer there and we have since moved on,” he told Mozzart Sport.”We had set aside Ksh 12 million for this season. The sponsor cannot release the money after failing to get promotion. We are now looking at supporting either the local leagues or other sports.
