Last weekend’s move by Vihiga Bullets to hand a walkover to Sofapaka has had its first casualty. CEO Collins Juma has been kicked out of the club.Bullets, a side facing serious financial problems failed to honour their match against Batoto ba Mungu. Sofapaka were set to host the George Owoko-led team in Nairobi but the team failed to secure travel means and in the end, Sofapaka got three easy points.##NAJAVA_MECA_6988540##The decision is said to have angered the locals who took matters into their own hands and sought answers on what exactly is ailing the team. A consultative meeting was held on Monday afternoon with one of the deliberations arrived at being the dismissal of Juma who has been the club chief for a couple of years.The decision made by locals was approved by club owner and chairman, Moses Akaranga who is also the founder of Vihiga United and a former Vihiga County Governor. He served as governor for one term between 2013 and 2017 and was credited for supporting sports in the county. His exit coincided with the financial struggles that teams in the county are currently facing.”The CEO was dismissed on Monday after a meeting between community members and representatives from the club. It was decided that for the team to go forward several changes have to be made and his exit was among the things agreed upon by the stakeholders.
