KCB had to sweat it out at Kasarani Annex to beat a resilient Mathare United 2-1.Kennedy Ochino scored firat but Donald Ange leveled matters with Nicholas Kipkirui sealing the win for the Bankers.It was the first game in charge for Sam Kioko as the stand in coach following the exit of Boniface Omondi on Thursday and perhaps would have hoped to start off with a win but it was not going to be the caseKCB were off to a perfect start as Kennedy Ochino scored after just 36 seconds to gove KCB the lead, the fastest goal in the league this season yet.For the goal, Michael Oduor worked down the right side before playing a low cross that was missed by everyone in the box and only poked home by Ochino for his sixth goal of the season.One would have thought that it would be a smooth sail for KCB from there but it was not to be the case.Donald Ange continued his impressive display as he netted the equalizer 15 minutes into the game after being set up by Francis Wasike.John Mwangi had a chance to reclaim the lead 19 minutes in the game but he hit the ball over the bar from point blank, when scoring would have been easier than missing. In a different instance, he though he had gotten one against his former side but he was adjudged to have been offside.The Slum Boys were dealt a blow in the 40th minute when they were forced to make an injury substitution as Chris Opondo came on for Francis Wasike.However, they still held on and went into the break level.Mathare made two more changes at the stroke of the hour mark as Agustin Kuta and Curtis Wekesa came on for Alphonse Ndonye and Steve Kimani.With 22 minutes left to play, Zico made three changes as Brian Ochieng, James Mazembe, and Nicholas Kipkirui came on for Mohammed Kilume, Kennedy Ochino, and John Mwangi.The change paid off two minutes later as Mazembe teamed up with Kipkirui for the second goal.Mazembe made a run down the left before squaring the ball back for Kipkirui who slotted home to give KCB the lead.
