Four-time Women Premier League (WPL) champions Vihiga Queens were on Saturday 4 February subjected to their second defeat of the season in a five-goal thriller played at Mumias Complex. Playing Ulinzi Starlets, the defending champions opened the scoring through Sherleen Ikalakala in the 21st minute, much to the excitement of the home fans who were out to cheer their team back to winning ways.
