Mathare United have confirmed the suspension of defender Lennox Ogutu and midfielder Alphonse Ndonye on grounds of alleged match-fixing.In a leaked document sent to the club by the Football Kenya Federation via their Integrity Department, the federation suspended the two players for alleged involvement in match manipulation until the matter is concluded.The two join 15 other individuals who were suspended by the federation in January for the same vice, including former Nairobi City Stars midfielder Michael Madoya, Tusker FC defender Isaac Kipyegon and others.Tusker defender Isaac Kipyegon and fourteen others suspended for alleged involvement in match fixingThe Slum Boys took the part taken by Zoo FC sometime back and were the whistleblowers based on their belief that their team would have produced better results, launching an investigation that they shared the findings with FKF.”Mathare United makes the following statement in regards to match-fixing among two of the club’s players. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7007013##Sincerely believing our players and team were far better than the results for most of our matches so far this year, MUFC management launched discrete investigations and then shared our findings and concerns with FKF.
