Pep names nine clubs who want City out, aims dig at Spurs supremo Levy

Pep Guardiola is angry. He is angry since his team lost to Spurs and didn’t use Arsenal’s defeat to shrink the point difference, but he is also angry due to the Premier League accusations, as he believes that those allegations are the same ones which UEFA made in 2019 and the European Court of Arbitration nullified in 2020. But he also believes that the league’s charges were the consequence of other club’s actions. The biggest clubs want City severely punished, executives hire a lawyer who earns like De BruyneIn an interesting press conference ahead of Aston Villa game, the first one after the Premier League accused City of numerous breaches of financial rules, the Spanish tactician named the clubs which are against Manchester and named one CEO’ – Spurs supremo Daniel Levy. Asked if the Premier League’s charges have been driven by other teams, Guardiola replied:“Go to the chairman, CEOs, Daniel Levy, ask them. Yes, of course. What they have done to us, be careful. They have opened a precedent now. A lot of clubs can be accused. What happened to restore the damage after UEFA? Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Newcastle Spurs, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea wanted us out of the Champions League, to take our spot. Is it different? No. The same articles. You have to go to League Two, maybe Conference. We were in Maine Road. Maybe we ask Paul Dickov, Mike Summerbee to come back and we’ll do it again” replied the Spaniard.Pep Guardiola:”Nine teams: Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Chelsea [wanted] us out of the Champions League, because they want that position. To take that position that we won on the pitch.”pic.twitter.com/dafmsYx7c4— City Report (@cityreport_) February 10, 2023 Since Guardola already talked in 2022 about resining if any allegations are proved to be true, he was asked the question again, but now, he seems to be even more determined.”I’m not moving from this seat, I can assure you. More than ever. They didn’t lie to me. Look a UEFA. We didn’t do anything wrong. We proved it. It’s the same case” he said.City charged by the Premier League for breaching ‘dozens of financial rules’Speaking to journalists ahead of the Aston Villa match, Pep Guardiola was bombarded by the press about the Premier League charges and nothing else.“We are lucky we live in a marvellous country that have a society where everyone is innocent until proven guilty. We didn’t have this opportunity. We are already sentenced. What’s going to happen, I don’t know. In the other side, personally, I’m happy that we are here because like UEFA happened we have the chance to defend our position. We have good lawyers but we cannot say UEFA had bad lawyers and the Premier League, supported by 19 teams, are going to take good lawyers. I would have loved to wait and see and time will dictate what will happen. Just in case we are not innocent, we will accept what the judge, the Premier League decide. But what happens if in the same situation that UEFA happened, we are innocent? What happens to restore our damage? Because the damage is for one decade” said Guardiola.##NAJAVA_MECA_7014087##PREMIER LEAGUESaturday15.30: (3.45) West Ham (3.20) Chelsea (2.40)18.00: (1.51) Arsenal (4.50) Brentford (7.75)18.00: (3.80) Crystal Palace (3.50) Brighton (2.14)18.00: (1.99) Fulham (3.50) Nott.Forest (4.40)18.00: (3.35) Leicester (3.50) Tottenham (2.30)18.00: (2.95) Southampton (3.00) Wolverhampton (2.65)20.30: (6.75) Bournemouth (3.90) Newcastle (1.63)Sunday17.00: (4.20) Leeds (3.60) Man.Utd.
