Vihiga Bullets coach George Owoko resigns

It has not been a smooth sail at the club mostly due to financial issues. I have never received a coin since I joined them and that has made life difficult for me as a person and as a parent. I have been in coaching for over 20 years and this was the worst situation I have had to deal with,” Owoko told Mozzart Sport.##NAJAVA_MECA_7036254##The former Tusker and Bandari FC assistant coach has been away from the club since the match against Mathare United when Bullets lost by a solitary goal at Ruaraka Grounds.Even during Vihiga’s hardships, Owoko did his best to put the team together and even went ahead to call for well-wishers to help the team honour some away matches.Vihiga Bullets appoint new coachDespite his departure, he remains a big fan of the club and has wished them well in their remaining matches.”I did my best to set up the club at the start of the season and they started out very well. However, sometimes it is hard to demand much from players whom the club is not paying, it does not feel right. The last game I was with the team was against Mathare United at Ruaraka. I wish them all the best in their upcoming match and all their remaining matches, and thank the chairman for trusting me with the opportunity to lead the club. I will always be available to support and advise them when they need me,” he added.
