Ahead of LIV Golf’s season-opening event at Mayakoba in Mexico, there’s no shortage of conversation and discussion about what’s in store for the league.
Last week, Greg Norman joined the ‘People I (Mostly) Admire’ podcast to discuss all things LIV Golf, the PGA Tour and more. One of the things Norman, the face of Saudi Arabia-backed league, opened up on his personal friendships.
“Some of my dear friends don’t even speak to me because of this,” Norman told host Steve Levitt, an economist at the University of Chicago. “That’s their choice. If you don’t want to talk to me again, happy days.”
Norman and Levitt discussed the decision to start LIV Golf, comparing Norman’s decision to what Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer did breaking away from the PGA of America.
