MIlan not keeping Dest, three others for sale

AC Milan was crowned Serie A champion last season and it was a surprise. There were better teams with better players, but coach Stefano Pioli, along with his ‘coach’ in the locker room, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and other players managed to surprise everybody. Not this time around. Not only AC Milan won’t repeat their success, but they will need a strong finish in order to secure the Champions League spot. Lazio, Atalanta and Roma are in the hunt for that spot as well and while Pioli and his men will try to do their best, the sporting sector is already looking ahead. They haven’t been that good with their signings this season as they were before, so they can’t miss again in June.Barcelona take it for granted that Sergiño Dest will return to the club in the summer. AC Milan will not execute their option to buy him.— @sport pic.twitter.com/4miBkhM2Mp— Barça Universal (@BarcaUniversal) February 19, 2023 The new owners promised funds for spending, but contrary to the majority of fans, that sum is not big. So, directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will have to find some more money from within, which basically means they will need to sell some players. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Sergino Dest will return to Barcelona at the end of the season while Milan are preparing to sell at least three players, including Ante Rebic, Fode Ballo-Toure and Yacine Adli. The Dutchman started only two games since coming from Camp Nou, and that’s not enough for a fee of 20 million euros, which Milan should pay to Barcelona in case they want to keep him. So Dest is out.Real Madrid, Arsenal and Newcastle are drooling over “the new Haaland”Ante Rebic is one of experienced players in Milan’s side, but he scored only 3 goals in 20 appearances this season, while Ballo-Toure was worse – just 327 minutes across seven games this season. Adli came from Bordeaux but failed to make contribution in Rossoneri’s midfield (114 minutes this season), so a loan or a permanent transfer are options for him. Apart from those players, whose departure could save up to 15 million euros just for sales, there are other footballers whose contracts are up and could leave San Siro. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, aged 41 could be the first one, and keepers Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante could follow him. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7041308##
