Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia FC has completed the signing of Rwandan international defender, Emery Bayisenge, on a one-and-a-half-year deal with an option of renewal, Mozzart Sport can confirm. The 28-year-old player previously worked with Gor Mahia’s coach, Johnathan McKinstry, during his stint as the coach of the Rwanda national team, Amavubi, and also in Bangladesh with Saif Sporting Club, his last club.Bayisenge is a graduate of the Rwanda FA Academy and is known for his free-kick prowess and one-on-one capabilities. He was the captain of the Rwanda U17 team that finished second in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations and later participated in the U17 World Cup in Mexico. At the Mexico meet, he was voted into the team of the tournament. Described as an energetic player by Rwandan journalist Jean Luc, Bayisenge’s signing is expected to boost Gor Mahia’s defensive capabilities.##NAJAVA_MECA_7041882##Bayisenge played for APR FC before moving to KENITRA in Morocco. He later moved to USM Alger, but they changed the coach and foreigners quota from five foreigners to two, and he had to return to Rwanda before joining Saif in Bangladesh, his last job.Gor Mahia FC is one of the most successful football clubs in Kenya, having won the Kenyan Premier League a record 19 times. The signing of Bayisenge is expected to strengthen the team’s defense, which has been a weak point for the club in recent matches.Be proud for who yu re 🇷🇼 pic.twitter.com/BVhCQitvby— EmeryBayisenge8 (@EmeryBayisenge) February 7, 2018 Gor Mahia FC’s next match will be against Sofapaka FC on February 27th, and Bayisenge will not be availabe for selection as the club is still working around the clock to clear its FIFA transfer embargo. With his experience playing at the international level and his free-kick expertise, Bayisenge could prove to be a valuable asset to Gor Mahia as they seek to re-establish their dominance in the Kenyan Premier League.
