Sleek AFC Leopards moved to fifth on the log following their 1-0 win over KCB in an FKFPL match played at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday afternoon.Jaffari Owiti scored the all important goal, but KCB will nlame themselves for missing two clearcut chances, one in each half.Kennedy Owino thought he had given KCB the lead inside the first minute but his goal was struck off after being ruled to have been in an offside position.Ingwe felt like they were the home side due to a huge turnout by their fans who thronged the venue in drones, chanting and dancing to their tunes throughout the match.KCB were on the ascendency towards the end of the firat half, winning fouls in very prime areas in two different instances but the could not capitalize on that. With a minute of regular time left to play before the breather, Kennedy Owino missed a glorious opportunity to put the Bankers upfront. Owino received a splitting pass from Michael Mutinda, rounded off the goalkeeper but with only the net to himself he blasted the ball on the post. On resumption, the 12-time Kenyan champions came back the better side and that paid off a minute into the second half with Jaffari Owiti opening the scoring.Victor Omune dashed down the left side of the attack before squaring the ball back into the box for Owiti to tap in. And the crowd exploded.Shortly after Ingwe had taken the lead, KCB had another glorious chance to score and level matters but Nicholas Kipkirui’s attempt to finish it off was atrocious, to say the least.Tedian Esilaba lost the ball to James Mazembe who passed it to Kipkirui, getting goalkeeper Levis Opiyo off the equation but Kipkirui stuttered, failed to pull the rltrigger on time and only saw his shot blocked by Lewis Bandi who had made a perfect recovery.KCB coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno was the first to make changes as Francis Kahiro and John Mwangi came on for Nicholas Kipkirui and James Mazembe at the stroke of the hour mark.KCB followed the change with another one eight minutes later as Hillary Dukusy came on for Kennedy Owino. Dukusy almost made an instant impact as he beat AFC’s offside trap from a corner but his control was poor and the ball only ended in the hands of Opiyo.Ingwe made their first change in the 76th minute as Saad Musa came on to replace Victor Omune.Immediately after coming on, Saad found Ojo Olaniyi with a well-weighted pass but the Nigerian forward could not beat Bryne Omondi in a one-on-one situation.Zico made his last changes with Danson Namasaka and Mohammed Kilume coming on for Harun Mwale and Kevin Okumu, both fullbacks, as they sought to rescue at least a point. At the same time, Ingwe made a change as Ojo Olaniyi was stretched off with Maxwell Otieno taking his place. They followed that with Eugene Mukangula coming on for the scorer Owiti three minutes later.KCB Starting XI: Bryne Omondi, Kevin Okumu, Hannif Wesonga, Maurice Ojwang, Harun Mwale, Brian Ochieng, Michael Mutinda, Kennedy Owino, Nicholas Kipkirui, Henry Onyango, James MazembeSubs: Gabriel Andika, Bixente Otieno, Samuel Mwangi, Francis Kahiro, Nashon Alembi, Bramwel Chemweno, Nashon Wekesa, Hillary Dukusy, Danson Namasaka, Derrick Otieno John Mwangi, Mohammed KilumeAFC Leopards starting XI: Levis Opiyo, Boniface Mukhekhe, Kayci Odhiambo, Tedian Esilaba, Lewis Bandi, Musa Oundo, Brian Wanyama, Jaffari Owiti, Cliff Nyakeya, Victor Omune, Ojo OlaniyiSubs: Maxwell Muchesia, Peter Thiong’o, Washington Munene, Collins Shivachi, Giovanni Lukhumwa, Saad Musa, Eugene Mukangula, Maxwell Otieno
