Posta Rangers custodian Samuel Njau picked up an unfortunate thigh injury a month ago while facing FC Talanta and is yet to hit the field once more. Dully advised by his club’s paramedics to sit out for a full month, the lanky goalkeeper has seen a full 30 days roll past and is ready for rehab.‘’The wound had to heal first before anything was done and that’s why I’ve been out of training too. Our physiotherapists insisted on me sitting out as my leg regained its strength. From there, maybe rehabilitation will follow,’’ says the former SoNy Sugar FC man.Rangers have had a topsy-turvy campaign, one that irks Njau as he only gets to watch from the stands- nothing much he can do to salvage the dire straits his team is in. His thigh recovery however, comes at an opportune moment when the season is on break and he believes this gives him a little more recuperating time. ‘’Of course I’m eager to play again. I had only missed a few matches in the first leg of the campaign so I already have some minutes garnered for this season. In the second leg, God-willing, I’ll feature in some more matches.” Mozzart Bet Kenya announces Ksh 60 Million sponsorship for the FKF Cup##NAJAVA_MECA_7059485##The mailmen linger in the bottom half of the table standings on 19 points from 17 games and are among the top three teams with the most draws in the league- tying with both Kakamega Homeboyz and Ulinzi Stars on 7 draws for the season.Njau rues a lack in staying focussed for the entirety of a match.‘’In most of those matches, sometimes we take the lead early enough but fail to hold on to the end. There are however a few that we completely dominated and if we can replicate such performances in the second leg, I don’t believe we will be far off the top four,’’ adds the man who has also featured for Gor Mahia and Western Stima in the past.Rangers are a massive 18 points off leaders Gor Mahia and will take on Vihiga Bullets when the league returns on 8th March.
