Klopp’s rallying cry: „We will strike back“

It’s the beginning of March, but the Reds are still not competitive. Liverpool fans are living a nightmare since the start of the season, as their beloved club cannot cope with injuries and bad performances. Coach Jurgen Klopp has been unable to find the winning formula and a constant performance since September, and former England and European champions find themselves at the seventh place, with nine points below the Champions League spot (but with two games in hand).Klopp: We will surprise Real Madrid in the 2nd leg.Journalist: How?Klopp: We won’t go to Madrid. pic.twitter.com/RjKSNHyd7e— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) February 23, 2023 Week after week, the German tactician is issuing a rallying cry in order to get his troops going, and just before the Wolves game, he wanted to do it again.„We have to force it, but we have to play and enjoy what we are doing. I really think we are ready, if there is a club who can do it, I think it is us. Because of all the things we achieved together over the last few years, none of that would have happened without the team or the crowd. We have a future together, the immediate future and a bigger picture as well. We will strike back in general but now we have to make sure we really squeeze everything out of this season what we can get. I don’t know what it will be. The obvious spots are not too far away from us and we will see which one we can pick up“ said Klopp.I used to be hungry, I had to sleep with rats, and my parents worked all day – but I got my dreamThe Reds fans might think it’s some sort of Groundhog day, or deja-vu, as they face Wolverhampton again this season. By chance, this is the fourth time they are playing Volves in 2023, and all in a space of two months. The teams were drawn in the FA Cup in January and had to play two games, since the first one in Liverpool ended 2-2. The Reds won a replay in Wolverhampton ten days later and then they played again, this time in the Premier League a month ago. The Wolves made an easy 3-0 win, so now it’s payback time at Anfield. But the injuries are here again, like an unwanted friend. Thiago and Joe Gomez will miss today’s match due to injuries, but Ibrahima Konate and Darwin Nunez could be in contention after training on Monday. Luis Diaz is yet to return to full training after a knee injury which kept him on the sidelines since October 2022, and the Columbian winger is sure to miss the second Champions League game with Real, scheduled for March 15th.PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHDAY 7Wednesday:22:45 Arsenal – Everton23:00 Liverpool – Wolverhampton
