‘Two’s company, three’s a crowd’ says the old idiom. But when there is a bunch of six instead of three, is it a chaos then? In the case of Manchester United, it certainly is. For decades now, the American Glazer family owns the Red Devils and the fans are trying to get rid of them from Day one. And finally, everybody thouth that 2023 is that year. After all, it was the Glazers themselves who proclamed that they are selling the club, and all of a sudden, when the bids arrived, decided to take a step back and wait. And the fans won’t like it.🚨 Manchester United’s takeover could be delayed as current owners the Glazers want a higher fee of £6bn for the club. The reason? All six siblings have different ideas what to do with the current bids. So far, the biggest offers came from a lifelong Manchester fan and the ritchest man in Brittain – sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani. But, none of them gave the wanted sum – 6 billion pounds. Instead, both man gave identical sums (4.5 billion), but with different options: Ratcliffe for majority stakes and al-Thani for all shares. And Guardian writes that it is unlikely that those first offers will be accepted, with a period of negotiation set to follow. There is a belief that the Glazers are seeking around 6 billion, a valuation some see as unrealistic.Qatar’s United bidder is well connected to the PSG owners, but will UEFA turn a blind eye?Meanwhile, Daily Mail understands that there is some consternation among a number of the bidders that they are still to hear back following the deadline. That feeling was exacerbated by reports over the weekend that bids for the club were under the Glazers’ valuation – which came after those in the process were told to keep quiet. The fans are also fearful that brothers Avram and Joel could use the additional investment and payoff other members of the family and stay on as the owners. They did try to buyout other family members in December 2022, just before the bidding started by they failed. The uncertainly will last until May at least.FA CUPFifth roundTuesdayStoke – Brighton 0-1 (0-1)/Ferguson 30/Leicester – Blackburn 1-2 (0-1)/Iheanacho 67 – Dolan 33, Szmodich 52/Fulham – Leeds 2-0 (1-0)/Palhinha 21, Solomon 56/Bristol City – Man.City 0-3 (0-1)/Foden 7, 74, De Bruyne 81/Wednesday22.15: (1.33) Southampton (5.20) Grimsby (9.00)22.30: (1.30) Burnley (5.50) Fleetwood (10.0)22.45: (1.65) Man.Utd.
