Harambee Stars coach says Victor Wanyama not ready for international comeback

Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat says former captain Victor Wanyama is not ready to come-back to the team two years after he quit international football and three months after his come-back was announced by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba. Firat says Wanyama had informed him that he is still rethinking his decision to retire from the national team.This is despite the fact that the former Kenyan captain had agreed to return to the team after a meeting with Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba.On December 8, Ababu after meeting Wanyama had announced that he has convinced the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder to rescind his decision to quit.Ababu tweeted:”Am delighted @VictorWanyama has agreed to return fully to Harambee Stars, rescinding his earlier decision to exit the team.
