Paulo Dybala, the cheapest forward in Europe

Out of all signings this season, Paulo Dybala is by far their best one. Signed as a free agent in 2022, the Argentinian striker has been the club’s best scorer so far (12 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions). He joined the Giallorossi in a surprise move, but many believe that it was actually a lack of genuine interest for the forward which brought him to a not-so-financial strong Roma team. He revealed that Jose Mourinho was the main reason he came to the capital city, but in fact, the look at his contract says it all. And now, after a successful (but not yet finished) season, other teams are looking at him, as he is cheap to buy, especially if you are not from Italy.Paulo Dybala: “I advise to the people to come here for the Roma game. In a few places you live football like here. In South America surely a lot, but in Europe in few. It’s a real show, the fans are something unique.” @marca 🗣️🇮🇹 pic.twitter.com/cGf3iBFYNT— All About Argentina 🛎🇦🇷 (@AlbicelesteTalk) March 9, 2023 Recent reports revealed that Dybala has a 20 million cause in his contract if a club from Italy wants to buy him, and for that kind of money, it can only be Inter, Milan, Napoli or maybe Lazio, but it gets interesting if a club outside Italy wants to buy him. It was the deal Dybala wanted all along, and then nobody was willing to match his wages; Roma came and agreed to his terms, which is basically a very loose contract. If any other club comes for him, they would have to pay only 12 million euros!Dybala demands 3,700,000 euros from Juventus – a lawsuit is already on standbyBritish media are already talking about a potential Manchester United move in June, but the player himself tried to reschedule transfer talks when the season is finished.“Surely, we’ll talk about this later on. My future is here, I want to bring Roma as high as possible and I think we can do it. I don’t know what will happen in the future. The next games are the most important things. It’s great to help the team. We are in a good situation, fighting for a Champions League placement. It’s not easy because there are many top clubs. We are confident about Europa League, but it won’t be easy either. Hopefully, I can help the team win more games” said Dybala in an interview for Marca.🚨 Paulo Dybala (AS Roma): “I always watch La Liga. I really like Gavi and Pedri. I always admired Iniesta. I really like that style of play.” pic.twitter.com/hx1Ex0eZpW— Managing Barça (@ManagingBarca) March 9, 2023 And while Roma has the option to block his 20 million move to other Italian clubs by raising his current 3.8 million per year salary to 6, there is no such clause when foreign clubs are concerned. So Dybala is clearly seeing his move to Rome as temporary, but if you ask him, the Portuguese expert was the main reason he came to Roma.“I had spoken to him on the phone before joining. I liked his way of communicating and how he faces every training session and every game. He convinced me to join Roma. I’ve had the chance to play with the best players in the world, and now I can work with one of the best coaches. He lives every game in a unique way and I feel very close to this. We are similar and we are trying to help each other. Mourinho has coached many important players and he’s won a lot. I liked to hear what he said about me. He helps us a lot and makes things easier” said Dybala.Move like Jagger and stay cool like MourinhoAfter winning the Conference League last season, many fans are (far too) optimistic about Roma’s chances to win the Europa League ahead of Real Sociedad’s game tonight. And since he received a hero’s welcome when signed for Roma, the Argentinian knows what would happen in that scenario.“It would be incredible, the city would explode, almost as in Buenos Aires. Fans would deserve it and hopefully, we can achieve it” said Dybala.UEFA EUROPA LEAGUERound of 16 – 1st legThursday20:45: (1.70) Union Berlin (3.60) St.Gilloise (5.40)20:45: (1.33) Leverkusen (5.70) Ferencvaros (10.0)20:45: (3.40) Sporting (3.45) Arsenal (2.25)20:45: (2.25) Roma (3.15) Sociedad (3.45)23:00: (1.80) Sevilla (3.70) Fenerbahce (5.00)23:00: (1.70) Juventus (3.70) Freiburg (5.90)23:00: (1.45) Man.Utd.
