The FKF boss challenged the coaches to mentor the players wholly.”Mentor these young players. Pay attention to them on and off the pitch; mold them in a holistic way,” she told FKF Media.FKF CEO Barry Otieno said the Federation was focusing on progressing coaches. He pointed out that those who had been trained for CAF D got placements.”Every coach here we trained at the CAF D level; they went out to academies, clubs, and schools to work, and now we get to move them to the next level. This is what we are really interested in—developing active coaches and raising them to a higher technical level. “Ex-Kenya international Kenneth Wendo, who is also the Tusker FC head coach, said he was looking forward to continuing to develop young players.”The youth are the future of football. They are the people who will get us to the World Cup but we have to empower them.
