In a letter to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), Wazito FC wants points from their weekend game against Vihiga Bullets which ended in a barren draw awarded to them.According to the Muhoroni-based side, a delay in kick-off, which saw the fixture start 43 minutes late, impacted the outcome of the match. The match staged at Muhoroni Stadium on Sunday 12 March experienced the delay after the visitors protested over alleged lack of a fully equipped second ambulance.McKinstry tips Gor’s golden boy Omala to get betterWazito, who are languishing in the relegation zone, have maintained that the ambulance was well equipped, and wants the match awarded to them.”We wish to bring to your attention that we provided two ambulances as was required for this match; the same ambulances we have been using for the last 10 matches we have hosted at home. The visiting team brought someone who was introduced as the team doctor to inspect the same. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7098908##What shocked us is that the said doctor insisted that the ambulance was not fully equipped yet he refused to go through the checklist with the medics we provided.Secondly, he was not even well aware of the items he claimed were missing. When asked to be specific about what was missing he left, only to instruct his players not to play the match. This led to our match being delayed till 15:43hrs, an event which derailed the morale of our players and to some extent impacted on the outcome of the match. We therefore request your office to award us this match following the events that happened,” the letter reads.Wazito have gone 13 matches without a win and are currently placed second from bottom in the FKFPL standings with 11 points from 18 fixtures. The team next face Nairobi City Stars on Thursday 16 March.
