The Premier League have referred Everton to an independent commission over an alleged breach of financial fair play rules. The alleged breach occurred during the 2021/22 season and followed an official complaint by then Premier League rivals Leeds United and Burnley.Everton recorded losses of $454.5 million over the past three years. Premier League rules allow clubs to lose a maximum of £105m over three years.
