Matano calls for more focus in Tusker’s crucial second leg

Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano chose to go a different route while making his post-game remarks after his team’s convincing 3-1 victory over Bidco United in an FK Premier League game played on Wednesday. As much as he was ‘happy for the three points and the three goals’, Matano was quick to underline a number of things he felt his team needed to improve on and correct going forward.##NAJAVA_MECA_7140853##“Am not happy because we didn’t score many goals and missed many chances that came our way,” Matano said of the team’s inability to convert opportunities. “In the second half we had close to five chances to score but we didn’t. We have to be clinical and get ways to utilize our chances.”The game saw The Brewers score the most goals they have scored in a single league game this year (3), with center-back Tomas Teka being in the score sheet for the first time in his new club colors.“Scoring my first goal for the club feels amazing,” an ecstatic Teka said after the game. “This one has just opened the account and I am sure more goals are coming. I want to thank the team and our doctor Biggie for helping me back after being out for two games and here I am with a goal to my name.”🗣️ Tom Teka all excited after scoring his first goal in Tusker colors. None is bigger than the other and for us is to field a winning team and come home with the three points.”Tusker trail Gor Mahia in the league standings by six points with a game in hand and are slated to play AFC Leopards after the league cup assignment.
