Red alert in Paris: PSG lose again at home!

It’s not because of Kim Kardashian after all. The famous American media personality and businesswoman brought her son to the PSG – Rennes match in Paris before the international break and the Parisian s lost 2-0, provoking fans to troll the social media networks with ‘Kardashian curse’ stories (she went to see Arsenal who also lost). But tonight there were no Kardashian family members in Paris and the home team still lost: PSG – Lyon 0-1. 8 – Paris have lost eight of their 18 games in 2023 in all competitions, their highest tally of defeats after 18 games in a calendar year since 2001 (9). The French coach falls into a result crisis as his team lost two home games in a row. The first place and another title are not under threat (for now), mainly due to the fact that title contenders Marseille and Lens didn’t use the crisis in Paris. Everybody is talking about the fire power of the Parisians, with Mbappe, Messi and Neymar up front, but the trio minus Neymar who is injured failed to score in losses to Rennes and Lyon. On top of that , the defense is leaky, as Galtier’s men managed only one clean sheet in their last 12 matches. Until the end of the season, PSG faces only Lens, while other teams are in the bottom half of the table, but who knows…L’ouverture du score de Bradley Barcola face à Paris. pic.twitter.com/7YsVRrYKdQ— Stop These Gones (@StopTheseGones2) April 2, 2023 Unlike some other games, this one was exciting from the start. First half was really good, with a couple of good chances starting with PSG and ending with Lyon. It should have been 2-0 for the home team after only eight minutes, but Vitinha and Mbappe were not precise. The Portuguese midfielder managed to miss from close range, and Mbappe played a great double pass with Messi and was alone in front of Lyon’s goal, but miraculasely missed a whole goal. In one of his rare mistakes Danilo Pereira lost the ball, giving Thiago Mendes a chance to score, but his shot was just wide of the post. And then the best chance for the visitors. Donnarumma brought down Lacazette in the 36th minute and former Arsenal’s man took the ball, but hit the post. Kardashian curse strikes again: Arsenal and PSG lose pointsPSG started the second half well, keeping Lyon in their own half and stopping any of their counter attack attempts. But chances were hard to come by and in the 56th minute, a leaky PSG defense allowed Kumbedi to come from the right wing and to pass the ball all the way to the other post for Bradley Barcola to score. Coach Galtier pulled Verrati and brought in Etikite, but it didn’t work. Lyon nearly scored the second goal, but Dembele’s shot was saved by Donnarumma. PSG huffed and puffed around Lyon’s goal, but the score remained the same after 90 minutes.
