Again? Aussems escalates war of words with Tusker’s Matano

AFC Leopards tactician Patrick Aussems has come out guns blazing with a personal attack aimed at Tusker FC’s Robert Matano following Ingwe’s 1-0 loss to the Brewers on Wednesday. The Belgian took to his social media to lash at Matano as an extension of what ensued during the match.##NAJAVA_MECA_7153298##In the dying minutes of the game at Nyayo Stadium, Aussems held on to the ball when Tusker wanted to go for a quick throw to stage a counter, forcing Matano to cross over to Leopard’s side and shove Aussems in what many will argue deserved a card.Ile maneno Robert Matano na Patrick Aussems wametupiana haiwezi tajwa mbele ya watoto.Hiyo ndio inabamba.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/VSKrvFp5EC— Ole Teya (@TeyaKevin) April 5, 2023 It did not end at that as a similar scuffle ensued after the final whistle with Aussems crossing over to Tusker’s side where the two coaches exchanged unprintables. In his post on Thursday evening, Aussems congratulated Tusker players for the win but then went on to refer to Matano as an ‘old coach with no international experience’ alongside making other claims against the experienced tactician. But where did it all start? Mozzart Sport understands that the squabble started after Matano visited Ingwe’s dressing room after their match against Posta Rangers in the first leg encounter in December last year and went on to talk to the prayers after Aussems had left. This did not sit well with the former Simba coach who has since banished a member of the technical bench from the team for allegedly facilitating Matano’s entrance to the dressing room.Kenya drop down one place in latest FIFA world rankingsThis is not the first time that the Belgian coach is finding himself in such a situation having been involved in a spat with a journalist after the barren draw against Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium where Aussems called him ‘stupid’.However, Aussems claimed that his words had been taken out of context considering English is not his first language, and even went ahead to give the next post-match interview in French.Back on the league standings, Tusker are second on the log with 42 points after 21 games while AFC are fifth with 38 points despite having played a match more.
