This is a step towards eradicating hooliganism in football,” he expressed satisfaction.Shimanyula regretted that chaos denied his team from harvesting three points from the pitch. Heading to the game, Homeboyz were looking to beat Leopards and revenge last season’s 3-1 loss suffered in the hands of Leopards last year. The devastating loss flushed Abana Abeingo’s hopes of wining their first ever major title as Tusker leapfrogged them on the log and went on to clinch the gong on the goal difference rule.Shikanda wants to keep Aussems beyond this seasonFortunately for Homeboyz, the federation annulled the season that was managed by government-installed committees.“We wanted to humble them on the pitch and revenge the pain they inflicted on us last year. The fights also denied our fans the opportunity to witness our players skin Leopards alive,” he claimed.Meanwhile, the club’s team manager Boniface Imbenzi in a separate interview rubbished a suggestion indicating that, they failed in providing adequate security.“The number of security men hired was more than enough. Had the visiting team not been satisfied with security arrangements then, they would have raised it in the pre-match meeting,” he said.
