Bad signs: The best team in the country is playing, and everyone is looking at their coach

It’s been a surreal week in Paris after PSG’s head coach Christophe Galtier was accused of making racist and Islamophobic comments while he was still in charge of OGC Nice. The affaire has taken a strong grip of the public in France, but the PSG coach remains adamant that he’s been falsely accused – and now he’s looking to prove it in court.Galtier’s lawyer Olivier Martin confirmed that his client filed an official complaint to the Parisian public prosecutor. The complaints are against former Nice’s sports director Julien Fournier, who came out with the accusations, and journalists Daniel Riolo and Romain Molina. The prosecutor will have up to three months to decide whether to open an investigation or not.🚨| Christophe Galtier “learned with amazement of the abusive and defamatory remarks” reported by Julien Fournier in an internal letter that leaked. Galtier’s lawyer also announces legal proceedings will be coming soon.❗️⚖ @RMCsport— PSG Report (@PSG_Report) April 12, 2023 Martin announced that he and his client would fight to clear Galtier’s name.”We want to end an unacceptable situation for Christophe Galtier. Now, make way for investigations and justice so that this controversy can be stopped. Christophe Galtier is available to the courts to answer all questions.”Galtier: I plan to be the coach of PSG next seasonThe circumstances are far from ideal, but the former Lille and Nice coach has to put the noise behind him and get the team performing tonight at Angers SCO in their Ligue 1 game. The Parisian’s lead over second-placed Olympique de Marseille stands at comfortable eight points. Still, failure to bring three points back to the capital would see another wave of criticism and pressure pile on Galtier’s shoulders – and he’s already more problems than anyone needs.##NAJAVA_MECA_7198514##Angers themselves are staring relegation in the face. Getting any decent result tonight would be a shock. The black and whites are bottom of the table, 17 poits adrift of safety. To them, this could be the last time to see PSG visit their Raymond Kopa Stadium – at least for a year or two.meeting Neymar and in Santos dressing room at that… I would be emotional too 😭 pic.twitter.com/4jJsY7PvZr— ✨ica✨ (@icaica_10) April 21, 2023 While his teammates will be playing in the northwest of France, the injured Neymar was allowed to fly back to his native Brazil, where he took the chance to watch his old club, Santos. Many of the current players of the legendary club were overwhelmed to see the Brazil national team captain enter their dressing room to greet them. It was a nice touch for Neymar – although recently, he’s had more nice touches off the pitch than on it.LIGUE 1 – ROUND 32Friday22:00: (10.5) Angers (6.50) PSG (1.25)Saturday18:00: (4.90) Auxerre (3.60) Lille (1.75)22:00: (2.20) Lens (3.50) Monaco (3.45)Sunday14:00: (2.05) Reims (3.50) Strasbourg (3.90)16:00: (3.05) Ajaccio (3.10) Brest (2.50)16:00: (2.35) Lorient (3.45) Toulouse (2.95)16:00: (1.70) Nantes (3.80) Troyes (5.60)16:00: (1.80) Nice (3.60) Clermont (5.10)18:05: (3.25) Montpellier (3.40) Rennes (2.35)21:45: (2.50) Olympique Lyon (3.45) Olympique Marseille (2.75)***odds are subject to change***
