Esse Akida bags match-winning brace in Greece as PAOK close in on title

Harambee Starlets’ ace Esse Akida led his PAOK Women’s side closer to a ninth consecutive league title in the Greek top-flight league as she bagged the match winning brace on Saturday when her team defeated Ergotelis 2-0 in the Greek Women’s Football League playoffs.Having been named in the starting eleven tasked to get the job done in the match, Akida, who was named the top scorer last season after grabbing 18 goals, repaid the manager’s faith in her as she broke the deadlock on the 56th minute with a sweet low drive that gave her side the lead in the match.Glad to have a grabbed a brace in our 2-0 win today to qualify for the next phase of the playoffs.
