Vinicius Jr. has as many yellow cards as he has assists

When a defender has 9, 10, or 12 yellow cards per season, it’s quite normal, it goes with the territory. But when a striker has that many cards, something is not right. One of Real Madrid’s best players this season is Vinicius Jr., with 22 goals so far (he already matched his tally from last season), which is 58 in total in his Real career, already as same as Luis Figo. Not to mention his 14 assists. But, with Vinicius comes drama, arguing, and yellow cards….Girona slap Real in the face with four goals in a surprising winThe Brazilian is in danger of equaling his goal tally with his yellow card record. With 22 goals comes a staggering amount of 14 yellow cards! He is all alone in Real’s statistic column, with the next two players, Militao and Camavinga, way below with 8 apiece.“A player like that should not be shown so many yellow cards. I already told him several times” admitted coach Carlo Ancelotti. He was furious in the first half when Vinicius was booked, and challenges against him went unpunished. But even thou other players don’t get so many cards for fouling him, the fact of the matter is that he always has an argument with everybody: the players, referees, fans….and that was the case in Girona last night. Arnau Martínez, Castellanos, Santi Bueno, referee Iglesias Villaenueva…he argued with them all. He was ‘talking’ to the fans as well, as he pointed to the world champion’s shield on his jersey.RESPEITO! This defeat of so many goals is not something the fans will appreciate, let alone Carlo Ancelotti.“Our level was very low. We apologise, the team did not play at all. We were bad defensively and that was the key to the defeat. We were anxious and we relied on individual play. But we need to remember we are in a cup final and in a Champions League semi-final” said the Madrid coach after watching the 4-2 defeat in Girona’s 13,000 stadium.LA LIGA – MATCHDAY 31TuesdayGirona – Real Madrid 4-2 (2-1)/Castellanos 12, 24, 46, 62 – Vinicius 34, Vazquez 85/Cadiz – Osasuna 0-1 (0-0)/Garcia 62/Betis – Sociedad 0-0Wednesday20.30: (1.45) Atl.Madrid (4.30) Mallorca (9.50)20.30: (2.00) Getafe (3.45) Almeria (4.30)23.00: (5.10) Rayo Vallecano (3.60) Barcelona (1.80)23.00: (1.35) Celta (4.90) Elche (9.50)Thursday20.30: (1.80) Valencia (3.50) Valladolid (4.70)20.30: (1.65) Villareal (4.00) Espanyol (6.00)23.00: (1.90) Ath.Bilbao (3.60) Sevilla (4.50)***odds are subject to change
