National under-18 coach Stanley Okumbi says the team’s biggest challenge remains luck of exposure as players do not have opportunity to feature at the top level.Okumbi gave the example of South Africa where he pointed out that 90 percent of their players in the under-18 team are already playing in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and he believes this should be the target for Kenya.##NAJAVA_MECA_7226420##“Most of the players in this team are from schools while a good number of our opponents are already playing in the top leagues of their countries. We must have a way of dealing with this challenge in order to see good results,” he told Mozzart Sport“As a coach I am grappling with different options on how we can deal with the issue because the truth is majority of this players are in school and luck the exposure needed to compete at the top level,” he added.Okumbi is however optimistic that progress has been made with the under-20 teams.Gor floor Mathare to open four point gap over stuttering Tusker“Before we were banned by world governing body FIFA, we had reached the semi-finals and finals of the under-20 team and that is great progress.
